Design Reveal : Backyard Hangs
Sooo it's been Way too long since I've posted.... I also said that I would do a Design Reveal every week, and I'm seriously lagging on that notion. Sorry guys! But I'm back in the groove and happily giving my laptop some love!
I'm excited about this Design Reveal particularly because I've never posted a backyard or patio design before. I wanted to create a challenge that is very much a common one for people: small backyards.
I feel like people love the idea of having guests over in their backyard, but run across the issue of space. If that's the case, don't worry. There's hope!
When shopping for outdoor furniture, be sure to know the dimensions of the space you're working with. Also, be mindful of what type of activities you want to have in your backyard. Maybe your space isn't big enough for a fire pit or cornhole, but having a simple seating area is enough to reserve that special place for your guests.
In this design, I aimed for creating a cozy setting for guests to munch and mingle. The love seat is complimented by an ottoman that can offer a surface for drinks and food and/or additional seating. Having a basket stocked with pillows and blankets nearby is smart to have! Adding some pretty plants can help the area feel more lively and sconces and string lights can make it feel modern and welcoming.
