Easy Eye Sound Office
Easy Eye Sound Office
A CSULB Project by Dallas Calhoun
Easy Eye Sound is a Nashville based recording studio and label started by Dan Auerbach, a musician, singer-songwriter, and record producer. Designed for the corporate team, this office embodies the mission and brand of the Nashville based recording studio.
Elements of rock and roll blend with Southern traditions, creating a work environment that fosters music and collaboration.
Inspiration is drawn from guitar strings and piano keys, which can be seen in the ceiling treatments.
The reception floor is made up of alternating white calacatta marble and negro marquina marble with brushed copper strips to symbolize the symbiotic relationship between musicians and guitar strings and piano keys. This floor treatment serves as a beautiful way to welcome guests and clients and direct them to the receptionists.
The same marble treatment is carried onto the ceiling, emphasizing the design even more.
Dark, large acoustical panels are placed over the waiting area of the reception to provide an acoustical balance to the loud marble and concrete, as well as to not take any attention away from show-stopping marble.
The entire reception desk is surfaced with copper veneer and the face of the reception desk features a copper veneer that is brushed in a circular motion to represent record labels.
Southern inspired furniture and décor, such as the leather tufted chesterfield couch, red rocking chairs and faux cow hide rug make up the waiting area.
The “Unique Space” serves as a backyard hang zone where colleagues can come together, play games, and listen to clients’ showcase their music center stage!
Flush mount bulbs embody backyard string lights and also light up to the beat of music, providing a stage-like light show.
The marble and copper ceiling treatment is featured in the conference room as well. placing attention to the main meeting room.
A modern approach is taken to the sliding barn doors, which is featured at every private office. Magnolia wallpaper serves as the backdrop of this workspace, celebrating the Southern roots of Nashville.
